Carlson Pet Products is a family-owned American brand that's spent over 20 years becoming one of the most trusted names in pet safety and becoming the top selling pet gates brand in the US, alongside crates, beds and pens. It’s sister brand Regalo has been a leader in child safety for over 30 years, bringing the same design pedigree to baby gates and safety products. Together, the two brands cover pet and child safety at home for millions of US households. For both brands, retail partners are the primary route to the shopper. The vast majority of sales are fulfilled through a wide network of US retailers like Amazon, Walmart and Target, which makes one thing business-critical: the accuracy of the information behind every "buy now" link such as displaying accurate stock and price information.
Challenge
As part of the Regalo and Carlson Pet Products implementation, the brand came to ChannelSight after outgrowing their previous where to buy provider. Two challenges kept resurfacing, firstly, broken retailer links that went unfixed and displayed inaccurate stock information, and secondly, a non-responsive support team.
For a marketing team driving paid media campaigns to retailer product pages, an out of stock and inaccurate "buy now" link means wasted advertising spends, losing out on sales to competitors and lost consumer trust.
The team also had an internal business case to make proving to the commercial and leadership teams that driving shoppers to retailers work and without reliable tracking and measurable KPIs, that argument was hard to land.
Solution
ChannelSight redesigned Carlson's Where to Buy setup around control and visibility:
- Inline Buy Now widgets on product pages, pop-up implementations on website category pages showcasing accurate stock and price.

- Dynamic tracking to measure channel performance on every retailer out-click event capturing strongest purchase-intent signal and tying campaign spend and performance back to real shopper behaviour.
- Custom analytics reports the team can take straight into internal reviews.
